Bruno Chief of Police by Martin Walker

Imagine a small town in France, with local authorities helping the community stores. There is fresh breads made daily and some festivities take place through the year, then suddenly, murder.

This book was surprisingly pleasant, I got it at a library book sale. It is a book about a small town cop who gets involved with a murder case. Bruno, the main character, loves his small town it is peaceful. The book does such a good job of drawing you in with details of France. You definitely feel like you’re in France, its such a wonderful book.

Despite the fact that it involves a murder case, it is an upbeat and cheery book, I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars. I think it would have been a little faster paced, it was slightly slower than I would have liked.
