Continuing with reviewing the most well loved books of all time, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I love this series, its probably the fifth or sixth time I have read through the books. I found the movie for this one only okay, compared to the first one it didn’t stick out to me. The book however was amazing and just as good as the first. I gave this one a 5 out of 5 stars.
I think some of my favorite parts of this book were the chapter when Ron tried to make malfoy eat slugs and ended up eating them himself and the deathday party. part of me shivers whenever I get to the part with the slugs. I can just feel the slugs in my throat! I also think that in the movie its funny how Hermione knows what the term ‘Mudbloods’ means but in the book she has no clue. Harry is always clueless but thats normal.
Something else that was left out of the movie was the “death day” for “Nearly Headless nick”. It was pretty funny to see how a death party was planned for the ghosts.I think the funniest part was the fact that there was food that had gone bad there. it reminded me of a haunted house.
Its nice when the book and the movie align though, like when they leave the cupcakes for Crabbe and Goyle. I always imagine that scene when I read the book and I can hear Ron’s voice as he says “How thick can you get?”
What is your favorite part of the book?
