A Tapestry of Secrets by Sarah Loudin Thomas

Disclaimer: ***I was sent this book by Bethany Books to read and review***

This book was so good, I couldn’t put it down, I read it in one day, well kind of, I read it when my baby was asleep. This book reminded me so much of the small town I grew up in and how family get togethers were. I remember potluck dinners and the same people being at the small church every Sunday.

I felt that it strongly connected with the root of our ideas of what is “treasure” in our lives as opposed to what is “wants” in our lives. I think that it does open up a discussion on family secrets and why we keep them from one another. The authors writing is easy to read and very enjoyable. Obviously the writing is very relate-able, as are the characters. I felt like maybe there could have been more description of scenery, but thats just me. Its not even an important detail.

I gave the book a 5 out of 5 stars, i would really recommend it to anyone who loves to read about family and relationships. If you’re a Christian and you’re single its a good one to read, as well as if you’re married. I definitely plan on checking out some other books by this author.
