Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Two set of people separated by blood, red and silver. The silver bloods have powers and the reds are nothing but normal humans, but does that give Silvers the right to be higher than the reds?

I loved this book, it took me a day to read. It was easy to understand and had a twist that I was not expecting at all. The author does a really good job of hiding the biggest twist in the book! I was furious with the character who betrayed everyone. The story is a little fast paced and has good description. Ave yard does an amazing job at relating the emotional thoughts between the silver and red bloods.

When I read the title I was expecting something a little like “Alice in Wonderland” but, there wasn’t a hint of that in there. Im impressed by the authors ability to veil things until the right moment and foreshadow when needed.

I gave this a 5 out of 5 stars, I can’t wait to read the second book and the prequel books. I would recommend this to anyone who loves books that make them think and make them use their minds. Its super interesting and the plot is different from many books coming out these days. I enjoyed that the romance aspect was on the side and not the main plot of the book and that it didn’t involve vampires.
